Carolina Panthers v Denver Broncos
After 2 dominant victories a lot of people seem to think that the Panthers just have to turn up and win on Sunday. Carolina opened up around -4.5 and went out to -6 this week before coming back in. You do get a lot of square money on the Super bowl and a lot of people just want to have their money on the favourite.
Carolina are justifiably the favourites. They’ve finished the season strongly and are finally no.1 in my rankings, which I’m sure they’re over the moon about! But it’s not as if Denver are a terrible team and have no chance.
By my numbers -4.5 was a fair line. Apparently Denver at +6 got a lot of smart action on it. I’ve taken the Broncos on the ML at 3.00, it went as high as 3.15 on some of the square books.
